Back Cover Digipack Drafts

This is the first draft of the back cover of my digipack. After doing some research into existing real media products i identified the forms and conventions of CD cases. I realized i had to include a bar code as that is one of the main conventions of a digipack. This helps create realism as well as opening up the product to be able to be sold on the market in the real world. I included twelve different Beyonce tracks after looking at her products including 'Broken Hearted Girl' which is the song that i used for creating my music video. I used the purple gradient on the back and front of my digipack creating recognition for the audience and linking my products together.

First Draft

This is the second draft of the back cover of my digipack. I added a record label to the back of my CD case because this is a conventional feature of existing CD cases. The record label i chose to use is Columbia Records which is the record company that Beyonce is signed too therefore i used the same one for my artist because i produced a music video to one of her songs. The image in the background is one that i took when filming for my music video and i added the black and white grey scale effect to the image before producing a gradient.

  Second Draft

This is the third draft of the back cover of my digipack. I kept most things the same for the back of my CD case because i really liked my original draft of the product and so did my peers when i produced some audience feedback. The one thing that was brought to my attention was that i used the color black for my font in my first and second draft but my audience thought the color black was too dull and boring for my digipack. I decided to take the advice and make some changes therefore i tried to change the color to white but then thought that it didn't look right because of the light background so i changed it again to a dark purple that i have used on my front cover.
