Promotion Poster Drafts

First Draft

This is the first draft of my promotional poster for my music video. The theme for my music video is black and white therefore i have continued the theme for my poster also so that the recognition between the two is notifiable and stands out. The album is called 'Mirror Image' therefore i decided to include ten images of Leah as if i mirror was down the middle of the poster. I took the image of Leah when we were filming parts of the music video to use for my ancillary texts. I wanted to include a color on the poster so that it didn't look too plain all black and white. Therefore i decided to add color too some of the text i used two different shades of purple that compliment each other really well. I also used a border around the sides of the poster and in the middle to highlight the poster and text a lot more. I added a promotional website name to the bottom of the poster for promotion of the artist as is on other promotional posters that i have looked at for research into other products.

Second Draft

After some feedback from peers i decided to make a few adjustments to my promotional poster and produced a second draft for my blog. I changed the color of the background from black and white back too the normal color of the original photo. I brought the white borders to the front all the way around the edge and in the middle near the text to make them stand out even more and appear brighter to the audience. I also added a color gradient sticking to the theme of purple to the background to make it more colorful.

Third Draft

After even more feedback from my peers i changed my promotional poster again adjusting the things that were highlighted to me as the main negatives. I added the black and white effect back onto my main background images but leaving the purple color gradient on top of the ten images as well. I moved the name of the artist up from the middle of the advert to the top of the advert also making it larger to stand out more to the audience. I changed the font of the artists name making it more delicate and sophisticated reflecting the personality of my artist as well as the pop genre. I changed all of the black font on my advert to white apart from the artists website leaving that black so that it is bold. I adjusted the positioning of the text that says 'Includes The #1 Broken Hearted Girl' as well as making it a different font so that it is the same as the other font on the poster and making it larger. I positioned all of the writing so that it didn't cover the face of the artist on any of the ten image sin the background and lined it up with the outline of the images.
